Overview

We’re looking for a well-rounded Corporate Recruiter/HR Generalist, Film Production who can take on this new position and help our fast growing Mexico office attract quality candidates who share our passion for what we do!  A successful individual in this role will be experienced with recruiting for niche positions with the ability to quickly determine where to market the position and find talent in the Production/Film industry.  Qualities for success in this role include: high levels of accountability and ownership, ability to build relationships with a variety of internal and external partners, excellent recruitment skills (full cycle process) and a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate must enjoy the challenges of recruiting, as well as have a proven record of hiring the right candidates for the right positions.  As well, the individual must be detail oriented in carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, training, performance management, onboarding, and employment law compliance. 

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage company talent acquisition function in Mexico to include strategizing and implementing position-specific recruitment campaigns, with the intent to build strong candidate pipelines for hard to fill/niche positions in the entertainment industry. 
    • Partner with business managers and VP of Human Resources to determine business staffing needs, produce forecasts and propose innovative recruiting strategies to hire top-quality and professional candidates to meet talent planning goals.
    • Provide full cycle recruitment for all levels from entry level non-exempt to executive level positions. Recruitment efforts include talent planning, job postings, sourcing aggressively, pre-screening, scheduling interviews, interviewing, administering assessment testing to include customized testing for specific positions/departments, conducting references/background checks, creating offer letters, extending offers and conducting new hire orientation.
    • Produce reporting/analytics with key talent acquisition insights, including recruiting, retention, diversity, and strategic initiatives.
    • Develop human resource solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.
    • Responsible for partnering with managers in an effort to create and write job descriptions that attract quality candidates.
    • Ensure up-to-date maintenance of employee records in accordance with legal requirements and corporate policies.
    • Full cycle recruiting for a variety of Television Positions – focused predominantly on the original Film Production roles.
    • Conduct initial screening of portfolios and demo reels and facilitating follow up reviews with hiring teams/productions.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of recruiting experience in Film Production/TV Media
    • Must be strongly familiar with the TV Media Film Industry with a book of contacts to quickly fill freelance and/or permanent positions
    • Ability to travel to recruiting events, host casting calls effectively, and work onsite at various filming locations in Mexico
    • Ability to collaborate with the Producer of each show/series in effort to ensure that all TV projects are completed on time as it relates to sufficient staffing and HR priorities.   
    • Demonstrated ability to source qualified active and passive candidates for all levels of positions from entry level non-exempt to senior leadership positions
    • Strong written and communication skills
    • Strong interviewing, evaluation, and negotiation skills
    • Prior experience with Applicant Tracking systems, required
    • Must have the ability to work independently with support from corporate office
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, required
    • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and multiple deadlines. Must be able to close job openings quickly
