The Junior Editor will provide production/editing services for the entire company. The individual will provide professional on-air performance in all facets of the network(s) as well as provide additional input into other forms of sales/promotion materials. Additionally, the individual is responsible for overseeing and creating new workflows for Upliftv and providing edited pieces to showcase on the network. The position reports to the Spanish Networks Manager for SD.



  • Edit and conform the program properties of the networks to comply with the on air standards and practices as established by management.
  • Produce interstitials for all networks.
  • Pre-screen on air products and handle ingestion duties associated with all networks.
  • Maintain tape libraries associated with all networks.
  • Maintain selection of appropriate scenes for promotion production, and formatting movies for appropriate interruptions.
  • Responsible for making decisions related to formatting movies at appropriate places and in the producing of promotion materials.
  • Performa other duties as assigned.



  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills are a plus, due to frequent one-on-one collaboration with other editors and creative teams. This role will also require
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a proficient and streamlined manner.
  • Organizing and researching projects to tight deadlines.
  • Determining the specific audio and visual effects and music necessary to complete projects
  • Selecting and organizing materials to create content for internal projects as well as for clients.
  • Organize and string together raw footage into a continuous whole according to scripts or the instructions of senior editor and creative team.
  • Assisting editorial team and creative management with content.


  • Associate Degree or equivalent certification from a TV Filming School in Film, Digital Media or Journalism preferred.
  • 1-2 + years’ experience in producing and editing in a professional environment and 1-2 years of video editing experience, preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Communicates well with senior staff members and works well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with video and image editing software
  • Hours: This position will work second shift 5:30pm – 2:30am.
