Job Summary:

The Producer will be responsible for collaborating with staff and contractors in effort to create the most compelling media content including television series, documentaries, and branded entertainment.  The Producer creates the structure of the production work through financial and personnel management while infusing the work with her creative perspective in direct partnership with the Director.  The Producer is constantly working on new content development, business strategy, and brand marketing that grows the company through existing and new client relationships.


Production Responsibilities: 

  • Orchestrate the company’s productions, empowering staff and crew to be the best at their jobs, as well as developing new projects and production strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor Associate Producer/Accounting Coordinator
  • Prepare and wrap up production projects including but not limited to
    • Schedule and budget creation
    • Secure crew, equipment, facilities and locations
    • Research, develop, help write and direct the story
    • Supervise and assist with accounting & payments
  • Supervise all aspects of production from camera to story to post
  • Travel as necessary to manage production jobs
  • Manage budget for production projects

Content Development Responsibilities: 

  • Develop new content for commission work and documentary, create show pitches and lead team brainstorm development on new show/long format ideas

Business Development Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain current and new relationships with clients and networks by contacting them regularly by phone, email, and periodically in person
  • Participate in networking events locally and nationally to maintain knowledge of industry trends and for new client and content opportunities
  • Attend trade conferences
  • Lead company participation in film festivals and content showcases throughout the year
  • Develop and maintain a social media strategy for the company



  • 5+ years of production experience.
  • Self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.
  • Able to handle substantial workflow without micro-management.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written, oral.
  • Experience and knowledge of working in the production and post-production field within the field of music, and digital media.
  • Able to follow direction well.
  • Proficient with the Mac ecosystem.


Bachelor’s Degree
