The primary purpose of the job is to provide administrative and accounting support to the Accounting Department. This individual will work up to 40 hours per week. We are looking for an individual who is driven to succeed in the accounting field and is extremely detail oriented.



This position will have a variety of administrative responsibilities to achieve the primary objective for the Accounting Department.  The duties will include, but not limited to:


  • Scanning, copying and filing accounting documentation.
  • Help organize the accounting department by scanning and filing.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping duties.
  • Enter invoices in SAP software and attach relevant backup.
  • Post payments made in SAP software and attach relevant backup.
  • Match printed checks to backup documentation
  • Insert checks in envelopes to be mailed.
  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners and facsimile machines.
  • Familiar with Accounting Month-end/ Year-end close procedure.
  • Knowledge of 1099 process.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The successful candidate is flexible, self-motivated, organized, detailed and process oriented, with excellent communication and problem solving skills; has the ability to work with high productivity in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment.



  • 2+ years’ of bookkeeping experience, required.
  • Experience with SAP or Quickbooks preferred, or other accounting software, required.
  • Must be comfortable and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) with an emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the department, employees, and the company.
  • Possess excellent listening and communication (verbally and in writing) skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven person who is dedicated to 100% accuracy and teamwork.
  • Ability to organize time effectively and meet deadlines.



Associate’s Degree in accounting is a plus but not a requirement.


Physical Demands:

Functions involve standing for long periods of time. Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.   Moving from place to place within the office; some reaching for items above and below desk level. Spend long hours utilizing  office  equipment  such  as  the  copy  and  scanner  machine  which  require  concentration  and attention to detail.
